La Paz, Baja California, Mexico

We just spent a sunny day sailing through Espiritu Santo Island near La Paz Mexico. We went to beautiful secluded beaches, snorkeled seeing hundreds of fish and coral of every colour you could imagine; we swam with playful sea lions again! (Never get tired of that hahaha) and basically spent a beautiful sunny day on the sea.

When we were heading back, out of the blue, a huge storm came in. But even storms and bad weather are beautiful in the Sea of Cortez, as you can see. Suddenly the wind started blowing intensely, black huge clouds were approaching, and the boat started jumping wildly over the waves hahaha. The captain wanted to get to the port before the big storm hit us, so we were full speed jumping over the rough waters and seeing how the rain was coming towards us in some kind of water curtain you could see far away. It was coming! haha. We had fun on that rough weather too and it was a refreshing way of ending the day. We made it to the ground just when it started pouring haha.

After that, the storm was so strong the roads got flooded and we had to find a very specific road as a way out of town for not getting stucked in La Paz. Diving in Cabo Pulmo was awaiting us next day! My friend Diego was able to cross the road with great driving skills, before it got completely flooded. So all good! Great day, great adventure! One more good day in Mexico.
